For each hand, two players make a forced bet, called the dark: the small blind puts a figure, and the big blind makes it a double. Then each player is dealt two cards face down, and starting with the player to the left of the big blind starts the action, he, like every other player can decide to call the bet of the big blind, raise or to fold.
After all players have spoken, and there are no more raises, are turned over three community cards (the flop). Before the fourth card (the turn) there is a betting round similar to the first two. So, before the fifth card (the river) there is another round of betting. Even after the river there is a betting round, the last one: at this point whether there are still a few players in the hand there is a showdown to determine the winning hand.
Different modes
The Texas Hold'em game has a lot of variety. You can play Sit & Go, a tournament where the number of participants does not exceed a few tens (and the few tables, usually two or three). You can play Multi-Table tournament, where the number of participants is much broader: it can achieve, in fact, even the hundreds and thousands of units. You can play the tournament Heads Up: Here are just two players compete, one against the other, and it goes on until one of them has no more chips.
As for the buy-in, it is difficult to quantify. The cost of entry for us, ranging from a few cents up to thousands of euros.
